Grading a 40 Question Test

On a 40 question test, each question is worth 2.50 points. Here's what you need to get each letter grade:

  • A: at least 38 out of 40 (94%)
  • B: at least 34 out of 40 (84%)
  • C: at least 30 out of 40 (74%)
  • D: at least 26 out of 40 (64%)
  • F: below 24 out of 40

A score of 24 or above out of 40 is typically considered passing (60% or higher).
